「blowout」可以指突然爆裂，尤其是輪胎爆胎；也可以指盛大的派對，或超級折扣促銷。

用於派對和促銷時非常口語化；在輪胎問題中常說「tire blowout」。促銷含義是超低折扣。在體育比賽中，「blowout」也指比分懸殊。不要與理髮店的「blow-dry」混淆。
