神や神聖なものについて不敬なこと、侮辱的なことを言うこと。多くの場合、宗教的な文脈で使われます。

宗教や法的な場面で使われやすい、非常に強い否定的な意味。多くは発言について使われる。「curse（一般的な悪口）」や「insult（幅広い侮辱）」とは異なる。
