誰かや何かをミスや悪い状況の原因だと考えたり言ったりすること。

『blame for』の後には必ず理由を入れて使います（例: 'blame him for the accident'）。『blame on』にはしないよう注意してください。日常でもフォーマルでもよく使われます。

They blame him for the mistake.
