Definition

হাওয়া, ধোঁয়া, মেঘ বা কাপড় যখন বাতাসে ফুলে ওঠে বা ঢেউয়ের মতো নড়াচড়া করে, তখন সেটাকে বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

প্রায়ই নাটকীয়, কবিতার মতো দৃশ্য বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়; যেমন 'smoke billows', 'curtains billow'। সাধারণ কথোপকথনে খুব বেশি ব্যবহার হয় না। 'waves' (noun) এর সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না। সাধারনত ক্রিয়া হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
