জীবিত কোনো কিছু বা জীব, বিশেষ করে মানুষ, প্রাণী বা কল্পিত জীবের একটি দলকে বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

বেশি আনুষ্ঠানিক, সাহিত্যিক বা দর্শনীয় আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ ভাষায় কম প্রচলিত। 'human beings', 'living beings', 'intelligent beings' প্রকাশে দেখা যায়।

All living beings need water.

সব জীবিত **প্রাণী**র জল দরকার।

Human beings can learn many languages.

মানুষ **প্রাণী** অনেক ভাষা শিখতে পারে।

The movie shows strange beings from another planet.

চলচ্চিত্রটি অন্য একটি গ্রহের অদ্ভুত **প্রাণী** দেখায়।

Sometimes we forget that animals are beings with feelings, not just pets.
