كلمة 'beeline' تعني الذهاب مباشرة وسريعاً من مكانك إلى وجهة محددة، مثلما تطير النحلة مباشرة نحو هدفها.

تستخدم عادة بشكل غير رسمي، وغالباً ضمن عبارة 'make a beeline for' وتعني الإسراع بشكل مباشر إلى مكان ما بدافع الحماس أو الرغبة، وليست خطاً حقيقياً.
