यह शब्द मुख्य रूप से ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी में इस्तेमाल होता है; अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में 'bedding' अधिक आम है। इसमें चादर, कंबल आदि आते हैं, लेकिन गद्दा नहीं। आमतौर पर बहुवचन में प्रयुक्त होता है।
