Definition

何かをしたくない、または強い嫌悪感がある状態を表します。人の態度や気持ちについて使います。

フォーマルな表現です。'not averse to' は「〜に前向き」という意味で使われます。'averse to risk'のように'to'と名詞や動名詞の前に使います。'adverse'（悪影響）とは異なるので注意してください。

He is averse to eating spicy food.

彼は辛い食べ物を食べるのが**嫌い**です。
