Usage Notes (Japanese)

'attend'は、学校や会議など予定されたイベントや場所に使い、カジュアルな訪問には使いません。'assist'（手伝う）とは意味が異なり、混同しないよう注意が必要です。イギリス英語の'attend to'は「世話をする」という意味もあります。
