Article का मतलब अख़बार, पत्रिका या वेबसाइट में छपा हुआ लेख हो सकता है। व्याकरण में article ऐसे शब्द होते हैं जैसे 'a', 'an' और 'the', जो संज्ञा से पहले आते हैं।

लिखित पाठ वाले अर्थ में यह शब्द रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में बहुत आम है: 'read an article', 'write an article', 'news article'। व्याकरण की कक्षा में 'articles' का मतलब आमतौर पर 'a', 'an' और 'the' होता है। इसे 'item' या 'product' वाले अर्थ से न मिलाएँ; वह उपयोग ज़्यादा औपचारिक या विशेष होता है।
