何かが弓なりや曲線の形に動いたり、曲がったりしたことを表します。光や電気の動きにも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

説明や技術的な場面でよく使います。「across」「over」「through」と組み合わせることが多いです。「アーク放電」（電気が飛ぶこと）にも使われます。「アーク（方舟）」とは別の意味です。
