Definition

何か悪いことが起こるかもしれないという不安や心配の気持ち。また、犯罪者などを逮捕することも指す（二番目の意味はあまり使われない）。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'不安'は '心配' よりもやや硬い表現で、未来のことを漠然と恐れる時に使います。「with apprehension」や「feel apprehension about」に注意。『逮捕』の意味は主に公式な文脈や法律関連で使われます。
