Definition

시간, 돈, 일 등을 특정 사람이나 목적에 일정량씩 나누어 주다.

주로 공식적, 비즈니스 상황에서 사용하며 'allot time', 'allot money'와 같이 쓰임. 'allow'(허락하다)와는 다름. 명사형은 'allotment'.

The teacher will allot ten minutes for the test.
