Definition

空を飛ぶことのできる機械の総称で、飛行機やヘリコプター、ドローンなどが含まれる。人や荷物の輸送にも利用される。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

英語では普通は複数形も“aircraft”だが、口語や誤用で“aircrafts”が使われることがある。飛行機だけでなく、ヘリコプターやドローンも含む幅広い意味がある。
