회의나 법정 등의 공식적인 모임을 나중에 다시 시작할 목적으로 잠시 중단하거나 멈추는 것.

‘휴회’나 ‘연기’는 주로 법원, 정부, 공식 회의 등에서 사용됩니다. ‘종료’(영구적)나 ‘잠깐 휴식’과는 구별하세요. ‘motion for adjournment’, ‘adjournment of the meeting’ 등의 표현에 사용됩니다.
