会議や裁判などを一時中断し、後で再開すること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「休会」「延会」は主に議会や会議、裁判所などの正式な場面で使われます。「motion for adjournment」「adjournment of the meeting」などの表現と共に使用されます。「中止」や「休憩」とは異なります。
