কোনো সিদ্ধান্তগ্রহণ বা নির্বাচনে অংশ না নেওয়া বা ভোট না দেওয়ার ইচ্ছাকৃত সিদ্ধান্ত।

প্রধানত সরকার, রাজনীতি বা সংস্থার মতো আনুষ্ঠানিক পরিবেশে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি "অনুপস্থিতি" না, বরং সচেতনভাবে অংশ না নেওয়া বোঝায়।
