Definition

水や液体をよく吸収する性質を持つもの。スポンジや布など、水分を取り込むのに適した素材などに使います。

主にタオルや布、キッチンペーパーなど、液体を吸収する物質に使います。「absorbent towel」「highly absorbent」「absorbent pad」などの表現でよく使われます。人や抽象的なことには使いません。

This towel is very absorbent.
