Definition

액체, 에너지, 정보 등을 받아들이거나 흡수하는 것. 물리적인 것과 지식 습득 모두에 쓸 수 있다.

액체, 'absorb sunlight', 'absorb information' 등에 자주 사용. 'adsorb'(표면에 부착)와 구별하고 일상과 과학 모두에서 쓴다.

A sponge can absorb a lot of water.
