誰かが悪事や違法なことをするのを助けたり、励ましたりすること。主に犯罪行為に使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に法律やフォーマルな文章で『aid and abet』の形で犯罪や悪事を手助けする意味で使います。単なる『手伝う』とは違い、悪い行為を指します。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
