禅（ぜん）- 落ち着いた（精神状態）

Definition

仏教の一派で、瞑想や直感を重視する教え。また、一般的に落ち着いた・平和な心の状態を指すこともある。

小文字の“zen”は落ち着きや冷静さの意味でカジュアルにも使われる。“zen garden”、“zen master”などの表現がある。仏教の教えを指す場合は正式名称として使う。
