他の人やものより年齢が低いことを表します。「young（若い）」の比較級です。

主に年齢比較で使います：『妹（年下の姉妹）』『私が若かった頃』など。兄弟姉妹には『年下』『年上』の区別がポイントです。一人だけで使うのは避けましょう。

My younger brother is in high school.

私の**年下**の弟は高校生です。

She looks younger than her age.
