「書く」の過去形。他の人や自分がすでに手紙や本などに文字を書いたことを表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「wrote」は完了した過去の行動を表します。「was writing」や「used to write」とは区別します。よく使われる例："wrote a letter", "wrote down", "wrote a book"。
