肌や布などにできる細かい線や折れ目のこと。年齢、動き、または圧力によってできる。

主に肌の老化や、衣類のしわ（アイロンが必要）などに使う。「深いしわ」「しわを伸ばす」などの言い回しあり。動詞「しわが寄る」にも注意。
