「works」は物が正常に動くこと、芸術や文学の作品、または工事や建設プロジェクトを指します。

動詞としては「It works」で“正しく動く”という意味。名詞で使う場合「works」は芸術作品や公共工事など。'work'（仕事）や'worker'（労働者）と混同しないように注意。
