"witness" in Turkish
Definition
Tanık, özellikle bir suç veya kazayı gören ve anlatabilen kişidir. Mahkemede ifade veren kişi anlamına da gelir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Daha çok polis ve hukuk ortamında kullanılır. 'Eyewitness' doğrudan olayı gören kişiyi belirtir. Fiil olarak 'witness' resmi bir şekilde 'gözlemlemek' veya 'tanık olmak' anlamına gelir.
