주변 사람만 들을 수 있도록 아주 작은 소리로 말하는 것. 비밀을 말하거나 남을 방해하지 않을 때 자주 씁니다.

'start whispering', 'keep whispering', 'whisper in someone's ear' 등으로 자주 쓰입니다. 'murmuring'(중얼거림)과 혼동하지 마세요. '속삭임'은 더 조용하고 비밀스러운 느낌입니다.
