Definition

大麦やトウモロコシ、ライ麦などの穀物を蒸留して、木の樽で熟成させた強いお酒です。ストレート、ロック、またはカクテルにして飲みます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

普通は数えられず、『some whiskey』や『a glass of whiskey』のように使います。『whisky』は主にスコッチ系、『whiskey』はアメリカ・アイルランド系で使われます。よく使う表現：『a bottle of whiskey』『drink whiskey straight』『whiskey on the rocks』。
