突然且常常不尋常的念頭或慾望，通常沒經過太多思考就想做或擁有的。

“Whims” 通常用來描述突發或任性的想法，帶輕鬆或幽默的語氣。常用搭配如 “on a whim”（一時興起）、“at the whim of”。不宜用於形容認真或深思熟慮的決定。
