用於引出兩個或更多可能性，特別是在不確定或需要在選項中選擇時使用。

在正式和非正式英語中都很常用，主要出現在間接問句中（如'I don't know whether...'）。有時會與'or not'連用，但不是必須的。不要與'weather'（天氣）混淆。

I don't know whether she is coming.
