Definition
Batı, güneşin battığı yönü ifade eder. Aynı zamanda bir ülkenin, bölgenin veya dünyanın batı kısmı anlamına da gelir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Sıklıkla 'in the west', 'to the west of', 'west of' gibi edatlarla kullanılır. Sıfat olduğunda 'west coast', 'west side' gibi ifadelerde geçer. Büyük harfle 'The West' özellikle Avrupa ve Kuzey Amerika'yı ifade eder.
