Definition

雑草とは、望まれていない場所に自然に生える野生の植物や不要な植物のことです。よく庭や畑、芝生などで見られます。

'Weeds' は通常複数形で使います。よく 'pull weeds'（雑草を抜く）、'weed killer'（除草剤）などで使われます。比喩的にも使われることがあります。'weed' 単数形はスラングで大麻を指す場合もあります。

There are many weeds in the garden.
