Definition

織りとは、糸や繊維を組み合わせて布や物を作る伝統的な技術です。また、さまざまな要素を組み合わせて何かを作り上げる意味でも使います。

「織り」は布やかご作りなどに使われる言葉です。比喩的に「物語を織る」など、いくつかの要素をまとめる意味でも使います。「編み物（knitting）」とは異なります。
