映画や試合、景色などを注意深く、またはしばらくの間見ること。人や物を見守る意味もある。

テレビや映画など画面を見る時や、誰かを見守る場面でよく使う。'observing'より気軽だが、'looking'より注意して見るニュアンス。『watching TV』『watching over children』などが一般的な使い方。

I am watching a movie.
