主要用於軍事和海軍場合，“warships”指的是用於作戰的武裝軍艦，不用於運輸或旅遊。常見搭配有“派遣warships”、“一支warships”。不要和“郵輪”或“battleships”（特定戰艦型態）混淆。常用複數。
