특별한 목적이나 방향 없이 천천히 또는 멍하게 이동하다. 생각이 아무렇게나 흐를 때도 사용된다.

비격식적이며 '공원을 헤매다', '생각이 헤매다'와 같이 쓸 수 있다. 'wondered'(궁금해하다)와 혼동하지 않도록 주의.

She wandered around the old city for hours.
