部屋や建物、空間の側面を作る垂直の構造物です。石やレンガなどで作られた囲いも指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は部屋や建物の内側部分を指します。外側の囲いも表現できますが、“fence（フェンス）”とは異なります。「壁を塗る」「レンガの壁」などで使われます。比喩的に人との心の障壁にも使います。
