自分や家族が受けた仕打ちに対して仕返しをすること。強い怒りや正義感から行われる場合が多いです。

『復讐』は固い表現で、小説や映画などでよく使われます。「復讐を誓う」「復讐を果たす」などの形で使われます。一般的な『リベンジ』よりも強い響きがあります。
