自分の容姿や能力に対する過度な自信や誇り。寝室にある鏡付きのドレッサーも指す。

人の性格について使うときは否定的な意味合いが強いです。アメリカではドレッサーを “vanity table” と呼ぶこともあります。'pride' や 'vain' とは異なります。
