地上の装置から衛星や中央ネットワークに向けて送信される通信信号や接続で、主に通信や衛星技術で使われます。

「アップリンク」は通信やIT、衛星関連の技術的な文脈で使われ、日常会話ではほとんど使われません。「ダウンリンク」(衛星→地上) と対になる場合が多いです。
