Usage Notes (Hindi)

आधुनिक रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में लोग आमतौर पर “to” या “until” कहते हैं, “unto” नहीं। यह तय अभिव्यक्तियों जैसे “unto this day” और बाइबिल की पंक्तियों जैसे “Do unto others” में मिलता है। सामान्य बातचीत में इसका प्रयोग पुराना, नाटकीय या मज़ाकिया लग सकता है।

Examples

The letter was sent unto the king.

Stay here unto morning.

सुबह **तक** यहीं रहो।

She spoke kindly unto them.
