「アンダーベリー」は本来は動物の腹部を指しますが、主に組織や都市などの隠された危険な面を意味します。

主に報道や文学で、都市や社会の隠れた悪事や弱点を強調する際に使われます。「the dark underbelly」「expose the underbelly」などの表現でよく登場します。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
