Definition

কেউ চেতন বা জ্ঞান হারিয়ে ফেলেছে, যেমন আঘাত বা অসুখের কারণে; আবার এ শব্দটি এমন কাজ বা অনুভূতি বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, যা আমরা জানতেও পারি না।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

দৈনন্দিন কথায় 'unconscious' মানে হলো কেউ জ্ঞান হারিয়েছে, যেমন 'He was unconscious after the fall.' মনোবিজ্ঞানে এটি মনে করায় 'unconscious bias' বা 'unconscious mind' এর মতো বিষয়—স্বাভাবিকভাবে বা অভ্যাসবশত যা হয়। 'subconscious' এর সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
