何かを回したり、ねじったりする動作。また、曲がっているものやらせん状のものを表す場合もある。

「twisting」は物理的な動作（例: twisting a towel）や曲がりくねった道、複雑な展開のストーリーにもよく使われます。例: 'twisting your ankle', 'twisting path'。多くの場合、ねじれや予測しにくさを含みます。
