turtle 是一種身體外面有堅硬外殼的爬行動物。牠在陸地上行動緩慢，很多種類生活在海裡或淡水中。

通常泛指這種動物。日常英語裡，海裡的種類常說 'sea turtle'；有時也會區分 'turtle' 和 'tortoise'（陸龜），但在非正式用法中很多人會混用。
