Definition

木の太い中心部、車の後ろにある荷物入れ、大きな収納用の箱などを指します。

アメリカ英語では車の荷物入れが“trunk”、イギリス英語では“boot”。植物、車、収納箱のいずれにも使います。

The tree has a thick trunk.
