Definition

তুর্য বা ট্রাম্পেট হচ্ছে পিতলের তৈরি একটি বাদ্যযন্ত্র যা বাতাস ফুঁকিয়ে বাজানো হয় এবং এর শব্দ তীব্র ও উজ্জ্বল। 'Trumpets' শব্দটি এই বাদ্যযন্ত্রের বহুবচন।

এটি সাধারণত বাদ্যযন্ত্র হিসেবে ব্যবহার হয়, যেমন 'trumpets play', 'blare of trumpets'। কখনো কখনো জোরালো ঘোষণার জন্য রূপক অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'trump' (কার্ড বা ক্রিয়া) এর সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
