Definition

トリミングとは、物をきれいに整えたり、適切なサイズにするために少しだけ切ることです。服の縁取りなどの装飾や、切り落とした部分も指します。

「トリミング」は髪や植物、布地の整える行為や、切り落とした部分、服の装飾にも使います。'hair trimming' や 'hedge trimming' の形でよく使われます。比較的フォーマルな表現です。
