木

Definition

木は、太い幹と枝、葉を持つ背の高い植物です。酸素を作り、多くの動物に住処を提供します。

通常は数えられる名詞（「一本の木」）として使います。「木に登る」「木を植える」など慣用表現あり。'family tree'は家系図を意味し、コンピューターではデータ構造を表します。「木」と「茂み（しげみ）」は異なります。
