Definition

特徴とは、人や動物、物が持つ性格や性質、または外見を表すものです。例えば、正直さや親しみやすさなどがあります。

「traits」はフォーマルで学術的な表現で、主に性格や遺伝に関する文脈で使います。「features」（外見）や「habits」（習慣）とは異なります。「personality traits」「genetic traits」などの表現で使われます。

Honesty and kindness are important traits.
